Cynthia Huang

Cynthia, 14, a 10th grader in the Bishop’s School. She has been studying cello with Cellist Ruslan Birkukov for four years. Cynthia is the principle cellist of San Diego Youth Symphony and she has been playing in SDYS for three years. Cynthia has received 1st prize in the Satori String competition for 2021 and 2022 in Prodigy Category, 1st prize for MTAC VOCE competition in South Region, and 1st prize for American Protege Romantic competition 2021 and 1st place for American Protege Concerto Competition 2023. Cynthia loves playing cello, she thinks cello is the best instrument because of its rich tone and resemblance to the human voice. When she is not playing cello, Cynthia enjoys playing tennis and drawing.
